Description

Break the rules and have more fun! You might have been told that certain lettering styles are always done with a broad-edge pen, and others are always done with a pointed pen. The Pointed Pen Uncial class turns that “rule” inside out! In this class we will study all the letterforms and quirks of a version of uncial done with pointed pen. PREREQUISITE:  This class assumes students have a working knowledge of the use of the pointed pen. Familiarity with the classic broad-edge uncial style is helpful but not required.

4) IS29 (1st choice), OR IS06 or IS11 (2nd choice). *PLUS* IS14 OR IS19. Black ink stick (with ink stone): my top recommendation would probably be Chinese Ink Stick – Dense Black, or if that wasn't available, 2nd choice would be Skakyozumi Ink Stick 02409 or Seiryutai Ink Stick 30213. (NOTE: If you get an ink stick, you MUST also obtain an ink stone in order to use!
