ALL SKILL LEVELS | ENGROSSING
In this class we will be studying the greywash engrossing style of E.L Brown! The greywash technique was made popular by a handful of American engrossers in the beginning of the last century. With the most notable being E.L. Brown and P.W. Costello. It involves a watercolor background, usually an illustrative element, most often a drawn lettering header, and the piece would be filled with a calligraphic hand which was usually a broad-edge text style. In this class we will be walking through a piece together and going over the techniques!
