Description

A beautiful quote alone doesn’t make a finished work of art. In this workshop, we’ll learn how to develop a balanced, strong layout from individual words and sentences.

Instead of simply jotting down text, we’ll give the idea the right framework. We’ll focus on the key building blocks of visual design, including:

  • Format & Proportions: Finding the right frame
  • Font Size & Spacing: Guiding the eye intentionally
  • Negative Space & Balance: Letting there be room to breathe
  • Ornamentation: Setting the right accents
  • Combine these elements into a harmonious whole
  • Primarily use Blackletter as our design foundation
