Description

Blackletter and Uncial are historical styles of lettering that are traditionally done with a broad edge pen. But what if we keep the characteristics of each style and reinterpret them with a pointed pen? Through step-by-step instruction, starting with basic strokes, we will work to give each of these styles its own distinctive look but also take advantage of the unique qualities of the pointed pen. We will also learn ways to create some fun variations of each style. This class is ideal for pointed pen calligraphers seeking to broaden their skills but also for broad edge pen calligraphers who are new to pointed pen techniques.
