A curated series on tools and materials to help you set up your studio for Calligraphy, Lettering and Painting Whether you are an artist who wants to learn calligraphy, a calligrapher who wants to paint, or are a beginner who wants a background on what supplies to buy, this course will get you off to a great start! Intermediates will find ideas here too. And you’ll probably get to do some shopping... A specially selected and organized series of videos You’ll get a broad education on the materials Randall uses for his layering techniques with acrylics in large watercolor journals. You’ll see the basic tools that calligraphers use for layout and design. There will be a variety of videos with historical information on pen nibs and alternate lettering tools, why they were invented, and how they were initially used. With a concentration on mixed media from his Journal workshop, you’ll see what inks, paints, pens, pencils and markers Randall uses to incorporate lettering, calligraphy, and imagery onto his pages. In each of these sections, you’ll see examples of the textural effects that can be created.
