This class will teach you to write a person’s name beautifully and stylishly in under five minutes. Giving someone a handwritten version of their name—whether or not they watch you create it—can bring a smile and make an ordinary moment memorable. All that is required is a few markers, some paper, and someone you want to make feel special.
But first you need to be confident in brush marker lettering and have in mind some minor decoration ideas. It all adds up to an unexpected gift the recipient will want to keep.
I began this practice after taking a class with Linda Schneider, whom I credit with introducing me to the process. Over the years, I have enjoyed creating names for servers, flight attendants, nail technicians, nurses, and many others. With Linda’s permission, I continue to share the “Impromptu Thank-You” tradition and build on her original idea.
